The LitterDrone project, financed by the Blue Labs European call, was publicaly presented the past 23rd of February at the Telecommunication Engineering School of the University of Vigo. The event was presented by Mr. Salustiano Mato, Rector of the University of Vigo, and by Mr. Íñigo Cuíñas, Director of the Telecommunication Engineering School, and representatives of all partners of the project’s consortium intervened.
During the event the Blue Labs call was presented, as well as the three partners of the LitterDrone project, the University of Vigo (represented by the GPI and IMARK research groups), the Spanish Marine Litter Association (AEBAM) and the private company Grafinta, detailing each one their role and objectives in the development of the project.
Additionally, the SpilLess project, belonging to the Blue Labs call as well, was also presented by professor Ana Bernabeu, from the GEOMA research group.
